Dynamic Bubble Pressure Analyser BPA-1S

This bubble pressure analyser is a tensiometer based on the principle discovered by Fainerman. This principle consists in the accurate detection of the transition from a gas jet to individual bubbles in a critical point. This critical condition is used for the determination of the characteristic bubble deadtime. It appears to be essential that extremely short adsorption times can be reached only if the instrument gives access to measurements close to this transition region between the gas jet regime and the formation of single bubbles.

This is the scientific version of the bubble pressure tensiometer BPA-1P.

Features of the instrument

dynamic surface tensions in a time interval from 1 ms (and less) up to about 100 s
provides various time scales: bubble frequency, physical time, adsorption time
temperature controlled measuring cell
automatic consideration of the capillary's immersion depth
consideration of bubble deformation from sphericity
correction of viscosity effects
